Libraries Rock with Magic Mama! 2018 Summer Reading Program
Magic Mama is an Eco-Edu-tainer who performs original, interactive music with an Earth-friendly message for all ages. The 2018 Summer Reading Program includes a musical geology lesson, an improvised collaboration with the audience which uses books from the library, along with upcycled instruments to create a song on the spot. Using her voice, acoustic guitar, percussion and eclectic waste-struments, Magic Mama records and layers songs live and invites audience participation throughout the show.
Magic Mama provides everything needed: a fun, theatrical set; multiple eclectic instruments; PA system; handmade instruments to share with the audience and posters for promotional use. She uses a loop pedal to record and layer sounds live and has a BOSE tower for amplification, which require access to one regular outlet.Great for audiences of all ages. Day camps welcome. Maximum group size of 200. Can be either indoors or outside (weather permitting).
Wherever we gather, we’ll Rock the Libraries together!
